The Tax Manager is responsible for a team of individuals to ensure Jersey and UK tax deadlines are met and compliance work is dealt with in a timely manner.
They will be working closely with the Tax Director to help with advisory work and to provide training sessions to clients on the latest UK and Jersey tax updates.
The Tax Manager must have the ability to provide guidance and develop their team to enable the team to grow and develop successfully.
They must have an excellent knowledge and experience in Jersey and UK tax for individuals, trusts and companies.
This includes the distribution rules for Jersey companies, Jersey tax for trusts and individuals, value added tax, non-resident landlords, trust and estate income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, annual tax on enveloped dwellings.
The Tax Manager is expected to oversee and manage WIP, debtors and billing for the team on a regular basis.
Technical / Professional / Qualification Preference:
CGI/STEP Diploma or equivalent completed; Studying to obtain CGI/ STEP Professional or equivalent if not already achieved (JFSC Minimum is Hold Table 5 qualification plus a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience); or
Qualified Accountant (by qualification through the Professional body); or
Qualification relevant to function; and
Evidence of Continuous Professional Development; and
